About Erin
My journey to becoming a dog trainer began in 2014 when I finally got my very own dog, Gus. I fell in love the second I saw him at the shelter! When I moved to California, Gus started to have some separation anxiety issues and I hired a great trainer to help me. I became more and more curious and passionate with dog behavior that I decided to leave the corporate world and learn as much as I could about being a dog trainer. I graduated from the globally distinguished Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional Program in 2020 to become a Certified Training Partner. We picked up and moved to Denver, CO to start Perfect Pals Dog Training! I have spent my whole life loving and caring for dogs! But more than that, I care deeply about the humane treatment and training of dogs and all animals!
It's the best decision I ever made because everyday I get to help dogs and their humans build a better bond that will last a lifetime!
About The Training
Perfect Pals understands that communicating to our dogs can be difficult sometimes. But we want to make that easy for you! Erin uses force free, science-based training methods through marker training. So, what does all that mean? We use positive reinforcement and rewards-based techniques that are free from force, pain and intimidation. Perfect Pals believes that no breed needs a heavy hand and all dogs can be trained using a human, non-aversive approach!
Perfect Pals believes that we should look at the dog as a whole versus JUST the behavior we’re seeing from them. We incorporate enrichment and management strategies along with the training techniques taught during sessions to make sure our dog’s basic needs are being met so that they can feel relaxed, calm and happy!
Training sessions are designed to be stress free and fun so that both the dog and the human can enjoy the training journey!
